Museums in New York City
New York City is home to numerous free museums and cultural institutions.
Visitors can spend time at the Hispanic Society of America, the New York Transit Museum, New York Unearthed, a museum devoted to New York’s archaeological heritage, and the National Museum of the American Indian.
Two outdoor museums are the lovely Queens Botanical Garden, set on 39 acres, and the Socrates Sculpture Park, filled with giant sculptures and a view of the waterfront of Manhattan.
Another museum is the world famous Guggenheim Museum (picture).
